Final Blog Entry of The Tenth Man

In the last portion of the novel The Tenth Man a lot of things took place. The man Mr. Mangeot who was pretending to be someone he really wasn’t openly admitted that he was lying to Mademoiselle the entire time. He really turned out to be a wanted murderer, but he new Mademoiselle’s brother which helped him out tremendously because he was able to tell her the real story about her brother and his death. Once mademoiselle’s mother died she is all alone without a companion. Since Mr. Mangeot has feelings and cares for her he is trying to comfort her. This novel suggest a time period where many people are gullible, and sure believers of someone that they barely even know. It also suggest that people of this day and age could get away with just about anything. Like pretending to be someone who they are not, or even a murder. Overall I don’t think it was the most interesting novel I have ever read but towards the end the action and suspense picks up. That is why I somewhat enjoyed reading the novel The Tenth Man.
